The kind of people who volunteer to serve their country and communities, the ones who put their nation first and their own lives second, these are our US 1st Responders. They are the kind of people we need to honor, not just on holidays, but every day.
Now through The Veteran Tickets Foundation's 1st Tix program, those who care about our law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs have a way to give back.
HOW IT WORKS
1st Tix teams up with major sports teams, leagues, promoters, organizations, venues, and ticket holders to provide free tickets to the more than 2.5 million 1st responders in the USA. Current and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics from anywhere in the nation are eligible. 1stTixer's accounts are active once we verify service. Tickets are claimed through our website.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Less than 1% of Americans are 1st responders. Law enforcement officers and firefighters prepare to face danger on a daily basis. The psychological stress of dealing with people's trauma, injury, and death causes depression PTSD. Our 1st responders need strong social support and the ability to decompress. Both factors help to build the emotional resiliency necessary to these brave men and women to maintain morale and continue their jobs. 1st Tix events allows responders to spend time with family and friends creating positive memories which relieve stress, strengthen relationships and improve mental health. 1st Tix believes that keeping 1st responders socially active in their communities is key to maintaining the emotional resiliency needed to continue their work as our 1st responders. For all they do, these events are real gifts of gratitude for those who give so much.
WHO WE ARE
We are a national non-profit, non-governmental 501c(3) tax-exempt organization. All contributions made to the organization are deductible under section 170 of the IRS code. But most importantly, we are a dedicated group of business people who are also veterans and family members of veterans.
We served our country. And now it is our privilege to serve our military, veterans, and 1st responders and to provide an opportunity for the rest of America to express its thanks and gratitude.
When our 1st responders go to an event for free, we want them to enjoy, relax, spend precious time with their families, and feel a part of American life. That is what we are committed to creating, every day. Join us.
