I wanted to thank your Organization for your generous donation. These events are very beneficial for those transitioning to civilian life which comes with its own set of challenges. These sporting events allow those struggling with the uncertainty of the future a tool and a message that there time in service was valued and so is there future. With all the world becoming more impersonal as technology grows, something as simple as getting a gift from a complete has more meaning. I understand that to an extent it makes financial sense since you can use unsold tickets as a tax write off, but still this is an act of kindness that does not go unnoticed by the military community. Truly thank you for this generous gift, during my transition going to Wizards games helped me cope with some of the other stuff that was going on as the games provided an escape and something to look forward too in a time when I did not have much optimism. Please when the Wizards are finally good in about 2-5 years after the rebuild, I hope you continue your generosity it means alot to the military community of the washington D.C metropolitan area. Sincerely thank you from a third generation military service member and Bullets/Wizards fan ~ Michael McKenney. One day we'll get another banner, I can't wait to see it raised as my mom and grandfather were able to see it the first time.
